Story
Bhalil is a small town above Sefrou, extraordinary for its cave dwellings — homes carved into the soft rock of the hillside, some still inhabited, others abandoned to the hill. The tradition is ancient, and the caves stay cool in summer and warm in winter, a mark of the ingenuity of the people who built them. The town overlooks the plain of Sefrou, and the older lanes climb past cave entrances, stone houses, and the doors of the living.
