Trust & transparency
Privacy policy
This policy describes information used by UseMorocco when you browse, plan a trip, create an account or interact with local providers. It applies to this website; linked providers have their own policies.
Updated 27 September 2026
1. Who handles your information
UseMorocco operates this tourism information and planning service. Current operator and contact information is provided on the contact page.
2. Information you provide
Account features can use your name, email, password hash and sign-in or security information. Saved trips may include chosen places, dates, notes and travel preferences. Partner features can include business identity, contact details, offers, uploaded media, verification evidence and support messages.
Only share information needed for the feature you use. Do not put sensitive personal information into public listing text. Guest itinerary drafts are stored in your browser session; signing in and saving to an account can store information on our servers.
3. Technical and optional information
Servers receive technical information such as IP address, requested URLs, browser details and timestamps to deliver pages, protect accounts, apply usage limits and investigate errors. If you ask your browser to share your location, coordinates support the requested nearby or map feature; you can refuse or revoke that browser permission.
Optional analytics require your cookie choice and an enabled analytics feature. Advertising and analytics are disabled in the initial launch configuration. Accepting a category does not activate a service that is disabled. Necessary storage, language choices and the trip you explicitly ask us to save are described in the cookie policy.
4. Why information is used
We use information to provide requested accounts and planning tools, administer partner listings, respond to enquiries, protect the service and comply with legal obligations. Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of the requested service, legitimate interests in security and service administration, legal obligations, and consent for optional tracking or permissions. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting prior lawful processing.
Travel preferences can influence suggestions and ordering. These recommendations do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.
5. Recipients and international services
Access is limited to authorised operators and service providers needed for hosting, database operation, media delivery, security and any feature you choose. Public partner profiles and contributed listing material are visible to visitors. We do not sell personal information.
Remote photographs or fallback maps can send the browser’s IP address and request information to the image or map host. Opening a social sharing or booking link sends you to that provider. If PayPal support is enabled, PayPal processes payment details; UseMorocco stores transaction references and status rather than your full card details.
The deployment is prepared for OVHcloud hosting in France. Other provider locations may differ. Any transfer requiring a legal safeguard must be covered by that safeguard.
6. Retention and security
Account and partner records are retained while needed to provide the service, handle disputes and meet applicable obligations. Requests to delete information are assessed against those purposes. Browser-session drafts normally end with the session; browser preferences remain until cleared or replaced. Consent cookies last up to one year.
Backups may retain a prior copy until their retention cycle ends. Access controls, HTTPS in production and encrypted storage for integration credentials reduce risk, but no service can promise absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can edit supported account details, change travel preferences, clear browser storage and reopen cookie settings at any time. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. We may need proportionate identity checks before acting on an account request.
Contact details and the available request channel are on the contact page. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority, including Morocco’s CNDP where applicable, or the authority for your place of residence where the law provides that right.
8. Children and changes
The service is intended for adults planning travel. Children should browse with an adult and should not submit accounts, payments or personal information independently. Tell us if you believe a child’s information has been submitted inappropriately.
We will update this page when the service or its data handling changes. The date above identifies the current text.
