Tissint is a small oasis town in the lower Draa Valley — south of Zagora, where the palm corridor thins and the desert presses closer, and the river that watered the oasis for centuries runs underground more often than above. It is a quiet place, its palmerie still green where the water reaches, its ksar walls catching the same sun that bakes the surrounding hamada. Few travellers come this far; that is its character.
