Massa Estuary Wetland Edge Walk
Expanse of beach at the delta of the Massa River, Sidi Rabat, Souss-Massa, Morocco
The experience
This guided walk keeps the Oued Massa's wetland status at the centre. From an authorised village-side approach, a nature interpreter explains freshwater, brackish and coastal habitats without steering groups toward nesting or roosting points. Binoculars replace close pursuit; voices, playback and off-path movement are limited. The session also acknowledges farms, villages and water use around the park, preventing “wild nature” copy from erasing people. A short accessible observation version can be offered alongside a longer walk, with both subject to ANEF instructions.
