The Bokkoya coast is best understood from above, where limestone and volcanic-looking profiles, pocket coves and open Mediterranean water form one protected coastal system. Ramsar lists the Côte des Bokkoyas as a wetland of international importance, while the adjacent national-park landscape adds cliffs, marine habitats and rural settlements. A responsible viewpoint circuit uses established pull-offs or footpaths and never converts an unguarded cliff edge into an advertised photo platform. With a nature guide, travelers can watch weather move across the headlands, discuss seabird and coastal-plant habitat, and understand why a cove can be ecologically connected to slopes far inland.
