Story
Bir Anzarane is a commune in the deep-south interior of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab — a desert settlement whose name points to the well, the bir, that made life possible in country where water is the whole question. It lies inland of the coastal road, among the open Saharan country that defines the kingdom's far south, where the families of the region keep the pastoral life that has long sustained these distances.
This is for the overland traveller deep into the southern interior, who arrives understanding the country and its demands. It is not a place to come unprepared; its gift is the rare, honest encounter with life at the kingdom's southern reach.
