Moroccan Beef Meatballs

Ingredients
- olive oil
- onions
- garlic cloves
- egg
- milk
- panko breadcrumbs
- fresh parsley
- chili powder
- cinnamon
- ground beef
- tomato sauce
- ground cumin
- cayenne pepper
Preparation
- 1chop the onions and mince the garlic
- 2line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray
- 3heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
- 4saute the onion and garlic for about 3 minutes
- 5in a large bowl combine egg , milk , breadcrumbs , 1 / 3 cup parsley , chili powder , and cinnamon
- 6mix well
- 7add half of the onion mixture and the beef , season to taste with salt and cayenne , and mix well again
- 8form the mixture into 2-inch meatballs and place on prepared baking sheet
- 9spray the tops of the meatballs with cooking spray
- 10broil 6 inches from heat , turning to brown on all sides
- 11add tomato sauce and cumin to the remaining onion and garlic mixture in the skillet
- 12bring to a boil over medium-high heat , stirring occasionally
- 13put the browned meatballs into the sauce
- 14return to a boil , then reduce heat to low , cover , and simmer for about 15 minutes
- 15turn the meatballs occasionally with a slotted spoon while simmering
- 16top with remaining parsley
- 17serve meatballs and sauce over couscous or rice
