Classic Moroccan Mint Tea

this classic tea recipe is made by steeping green tea with spearmint leaves. in morocco it is often served more than once a day. although moroccan tea pots are many sizes, small pots contain about a half liter or six glasses of tea. a large pot would hold about a liter or about 12 glasses of tea. this tea is served hot but in glasses rather than in cups as most americans would tend to drink it. the moroccan glasses are a work of art on their own, they are so lovely. the following measures are for a small pot of tea. prep time is to boil the water. cook time is for steeping. com'. if you can't get fresh spearmint leaves you can substitute 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of spearmint extract. posted for zwt 2010.
