Taghazout

Taghazout is Morocco's surf capital — a former fishing village where the Atlantic swell meets barefoot bohemia. Anchor Point, Hash Point, Panoramas: the breaks are world-class, and the town runs on mint tea, tagines, and dawn patrol. The hippies on the overland trail found the point breaks in the 1970s, and the village has been surf-and-yoga ever since, though the massive Taghazout Bay resort now neighbours the old whitewashed houses.
