The experience
Safi pottery becomes far richer when the visit follows process instead of shelves. With a participating workshop, the interpreter traces clay preparation, forming, drying, decoration, glazing and firing, making clear which stages are being demonstrated and which are active work. A kiln exterior and the pottery hill provide industrial scale; the medina market shows how objects are selected and sold. Guests are not promised hands-on access near heat or machinery. The copy also avoids calling every geometric motif ancient or every object handmade without the maker's own claim.
