Story
At the Atlantic end of the Draa, a river channel threads between sand, scrub and coastal cliffs. This estuary forms part of Ramsar site 1477, a wetland whose river, beach and coastal habitats support birds and other wildlife.
Plan a nature visit with local guidance and confirm permitted access and conditions before travelling. Observe from established places, keep clear of wildlife and leave vegetation undisturbed. The landscape is the attraction; boat trips, camps and off-road access need their own confirmed arrangements.
