Story
El Badi’s vast courtyard, sunken gardens and surviving walls reveal the scale of a Saadian palace in Marrakech.
Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur commissioned the palace in the late sixteenth century. Today its open spaces and ruins are the main attraction. Look for the outlines of pools and pavilions, and connect the visit with the nearby Saadian Tombs to explore the dynasty’s architectural legacy.
