Story
Dar Bouazza is the Atlantic beach town just south of Casablanca, transformed in a generation from a quiet fishing village into the city's prime coastal playground. The beach is sandy, the surf breaks draw a loyal crowd, and the corniche has filled with beach clubs, restaurants, and weekend villas for Casablanca's middle class. The fishing harbour at the old centre still works, and Tamaris, just along the coast, holds older summer houses among the pines. In summer the traffic from the city is heavy; in winter it empties.
This is for the beachgoer, the surfer, and the Casablanca resident escaping the city on a weekend. It is built-up and busy in season; come on a weekday, or out of summer, for the calm.
