Bouskoura
Story
Bouskoura is a town on the southern edge of Casablanca, fast absorbed into the metropolis as industry, logistics, and new housing spread along the highway to the airport and the south. Its name — "the small luck" — once marked a village of orchards and the great Bouskoura forest, a rare surviving pine wood that still offers Casablanca residents a green escape. Today the town mixes the remains of that rural past with factories, malls, and the constant traffic of a satellite in growth.
This is for the traveller with business on Casablanca's southern fringe, or seeking the forest for a walk. It is a practical, transitional place; come for the green of the surviving pines, not for a medina.
