Kentin tarihi antik Mauretania Krallığı’ndan erken İslam dönemine uzanır. Evlerin ve kamu yapılarının kalıntıları, kent planını anlamayı kolaylaştırır. Ziyareti yakındaki Moulay Idriss Zerhoun ile birleştirebilirsiniz. Arkeolojik alan 1997’de UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’ne alındı.
