Verhaal
M'diq is een klein Middellandse Zee-oord tussen Martil en Fnideq, gebouwd rond een beschutte jachthaven — Marina Smir — die jachten, appartementenblokken en een boulevard bracht naar wat ooit een stil vissersdorp was. De Spanjaarden kenden haar als Rincón, en in de zomer vullen de gezinnen van Tétouan en Tanger haar strand en ijskraampjes. Ze is schoner en meer ontwikkeld dan haar buren, met een rustige baai goed om te zwemmen en een korte corniche die de avondwandeling sluit.
Dit is voor de gezinsstrandvakantie en de jachthavenhalt, niet voor cultuur of eenzaamheid. Het wordt druk in de hoge zomer; de schoudermaanden belonen een stiller bezoek.
